I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the city, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. However, the basic accommodations left a bit to be desired, especially regarding cleanliness and noise levels. The value for money is okay, but some improvements would enhance the stay.

Rooms

The rooms were very basic and could use some upgrades, like a fan for warmer nights. Cleanliness could also use improvement as I noticed some dust and less-than-ideal floor conditions.

The hostel is centrally located, just a five-minute walk to Canada Place and the Waterfront train station, making it convenient for exploration. The staff was friendly, and fresh towels were provided, which added a nice touch. However, the rooms were quite hot, and the cooking facilities were very limited. For three people, our room felt cramped, and there were quite a few stairs to navigate with our luggage, which was a hassle.

Rooms

The room was small for three people and uncomfortably hot, making it less ideal for a longer stay.

I had a mixed experience at this hostel. On the plus side, the location is really convenient for exploring the city, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, my room was not up to par; it was quite dirty, and I had trouble sleeping due to noise from the street. While it’s affordable, I’d recommend paying a bit more for a better stay elsewhere.

Overall, my stay at this hotel was disappointing due to the cleanliness issues and the presence of pests. While the location was great, the room quality did not meet expectations, and the service was lacking. I suggest looking elsewhere for a more pleasant experience.

Rooms

The room cleanliness was unacceptable, with muddy footprints on the blanket and hairs on the sheets. The bed was also very creaky, which disturbed our sleep.
Service

The service was not responsive, and the front desk staff didn't handle the mouse situation well, showing little concern for our discomfort.

I enjoyed my stay at this budget hostel for a few days. The atmosphere is quite nice, and it's conveniently located near a sky train and in central Vancouver, making it easy to explore. The staff were friendly and helpful, which added to the experience. However, the dorm rooms are pretty small, and there's no proper kitchen for self-catering, so keep that in mind if you’re on a tight budget.

This hostel has a great location near Gastown, but there are several areas in need of improvement. The rooms were small and lacked adequate power outlets. The shared bathrooms left much to be desired, with cleanliness issues and limited space. While the staff was friendly, the facilities were lacking and noisy during the weekend.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was quite small and only had two power sockets, which made it difficult to charge devices, especially since there was no air conditioning.
Service

The staff was helpful and accommodating, especially during the day, but there wasn’t any staff presence after 5pm, which was inconvenient.

The facilities could use some significant improvements. The bathrooms were not clean, and there was a lack of space and tools in the kitchens. During weekends, the noise level from partying guests was distracting.

My stay at the hostel was a mixed bag. While the building itself was beautiful and the staff were friendly, I encountered several issues that made it less enjoyable. The cleanliness of the bathrooms was commendable and the location was ideal, right next to Gastown. However, the lack of proper facilities, such as kitchen tools and room amenities, coupled with noise disturbances from other guests, made my experience average at best.

Rooms

The rooms were clean, but they were lacking in space and amenities. There weren't enough power outlets, and the heat could be overwhelming.

I was really looking forward to my stay, but it turned out to be a bit of a letdown. While I did meet some great roommates and the location is decent, the experience was soured by poor management decisions and lack of facilities. The hostel could really improve on its kitchen space and room arrangements, making it a less than ideal place for a group. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this hostel unless you're traveling solo or willing to pay more for private accommodations.

Rooms

The rooms were somewhat cramped and got really hot at night, plus there were no night lamps to make the environment more comfortable.
Service
